Jean-Philippe Antoine lives and works in Paris, France. An occasional sound artist, he teaches Aesthetics at Paris 8 University. He is the author of books on Gerhard Richter (Dis voir, 1995) and Marcel Broodthaers (Moule, Muse, Méduse, 2006) and has recently published the first major monograph in French devoted to Joseph Beuys (La traversée du XXe siècle, 2011). He has collaborated with Leif Elggren on performances at Pompidou Center in Paris and Fylkingen in Stockholm, and with Mikael Levin on a film. His latest CD, New Ancient Music, was released last summer by Firework Edition Records.
